Rob joined CLS in 2001 as a Senior Information Analyst and quickly rose through the ranks to become Head of Information Analysis and Modelling in 2006, where he successfully expanded the team and significantly enhanced its capabilities. In 2011 he assumed his current role of Managing Director, Head of CLS Analytics, responsible for managing and analysing CLS’s business data, consisting of more than 1 billion FX transaction submitted to CLS since it began live operation in 2002. Use cases of the data ranges from backward looking historical reporting of activity to forward looking forecasting of future activity and scenario modelling. Customers under Rob’s care and leadership include most departments within CLS (Risk, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Relationship Management, Product Management etc.) as well as external stakeholders, including member banks, regulators and other players in the FX market. Before joining CLS, Rob was with Prudential and UBS Asset Management, where he held IT leadership roles respectively. An active speaker and presenter at key industry conferences, Rob holds an MSc Economics, Birkbeck College London, MSc Computing Science, Imperial College London, and a BSc Biochemistry, University of Bristol.
