Alan Stewart

Alan is a Managing Director and head of the EMEA Emerging Markets Trading business and head of EMEA G10 FX Trading in the Global Currencies and Emerging Markets division at Goldman Sachs in London. Alan joined Goldman Sachs in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Moore Capital Management as well as at BNP Paribas and JP Morgan, where he specialized in local Emerging Market interest rate and foreign exchange trading, spending a number of years building local trading businesses in Warsaw and in Johannesburg.

Alan is a member of the European Central Bank’s FX Consulting Group, serves as the private sector representative of the ECB on the Global Foreign Exchange Committee and serves on the board of Forexclear on behalf of Goldman Sachs.

Alan is a graduate of l'Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Reims, France.
