James Kemp

James Kemp is the Managing Director of the GFMA’s Global FX Division, having established it in 2010 and developed it to become the driving force representing the largest dealers in the global FX market. He also established AFME’s Technology and Operations Division in 2016, and then took management responsibility for a number of additional AFME committees that he has merged to form the new Compliance, Control & Accounting (CCA) Division; in addition James now Chairs AFME’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, bringing together a number of AFME initiatives under a single structure. He remains heavily involved with efforts to enhance industry conduct, having been involved in the Global FX Code work and as a Board member of the UK’s FICC Market Standards Board. He sits on the Bank of England’s FX Joint Standing Committee and is also currently an ICSA Board member.
