James Pearson

James Pearson is Head of ForexClear, responsible for LCH’s FX derivatives clearing service globally. With over 20 years’ experience in FX, James joined LCH in 2021 to drive continued growth and innovation at ForexClear, including the expansion of the deliverable FX and client clearing franchises. Before his appointment at LCH, James was Global Head of FX Trading at RBS, where he oversaw the trading risk, daily management, and strategic direction of the business across spot, NDFs, forwards, options and electronic trading. Prior to RBS, James held positions as Global Head of G10 FX Spot Trading and EMEA Head of Emerging Markets FX at Nomura and Lehman Brothers. He also worked on the FX spot and NDF trading desks at Citi and HSBC, and he has served on a number of FX industry advisory boards. James graduated from Oxford University with an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
