Laura Simionescu

Laura joined British American Tobacco in 2015. After covering various roles in Group’s Treasury, in Romania and United Kingdom, she is now heading up the Financial Risk & Dealing Room team, part of Group Corporate Treasury, located in Romania. She is responsible for defining group’s risk management strategy (fx and interest rates), as well as for managing short term liquidity and dealing execution.

Before joining BAT, she worked for 4 years for Raiffeisen’s Romanian building society bank (Sparkasse) as Head of Risk Management and Organisation. Prior to this, she worked for 7 years in GE Capital in the Romanian mortgage business - credit risk area.

Laura is a CFA charterholder since 2018.
