Laurie McAughtry

Laurie holds a BA in English Literature from Balliol College, Oxford, a diploma in Finance & Economics from Columbia University, New York and a Masters in Publishing from Oxford Brookes. She has over two decades of experience in financial services, starting as a private banker with Barclays Wealth before moving into financial analysis and later journalism. She spent 10 years as group managing editor of leading emerging markets media platform REDmoney Group, working across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, before returning to the UK to manage multiple platforms including TradingView and A-Team Group. Most recently she headed up The TRADE as managing editor, before moving over to Markets Media to run its equities platform, BEST EXECUTION, as well as leading the firm's global Women in Finance initiative.
