Tod Van Name is Bloomberg's Global Head of Foreign Exchange electronic trading. He oversees business strategy and product development for FX Electronic Trading, which is used by the world’s leading FX professionals in corporations, global and regional banks, investment management firms and pension funds.FX trading at Bloomberg includes FXGO, a multi-bank trading platform for FX spot, forwards, non-deliverable forwards, swaps, deposits and option transactions. FXGO connects more than 500 major and regional liquidity providers worldwide, enabling complete and accurate price discovery with in-depth coverage of emerging markets and a wide range of derivatives for both regulated and unregulated markets. It's available on the Bloomberg Terminal where subscribers can access a multilateral trading facility (MTF) for FX and other asset classes. Van Name joined Bloomberg in 2006, as an FX market specialist, then managed a team of FX specialists and became global business manager for FX and economics in 2010. Prior to Bloomberg, he traded currencies and options for over 19 years at several major banks, including Fuji Bank, where he oversaw the spot, forward and option trading desks. He is a member of the Foreign Exchange Professionals Association (FXPA) Board of Directors and quoted widely in the media.
